Elke Andrees

Elke Andrees is a Psychologist and Psychotherapist with postgraduate training in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. She specialises in parent-infant relationship work and women's mental health. Elke is in private practice and involved as consultant in a number of community programs.

Elke has worked in the field of Infant mental Health and Child Protection for many years. She has worked with the Benevolent Society's Early Intevention Program for over ten years as Manager of the program and Clinical Supervisor. This program offers long-term support to vulnerable families during pregnancy and following birth of a baby with the aim to promote healthy parent-infant relationships. Through this work Elke has co-authored and developed an Antenatal Therapeutic Group program which forms part of the graduate Diploma and Master of Infant Mental Health programs at the NSW Institute of Psychiatry. Elke has presented a wide variety of services to support other professionals in their role and has co-facilitated a group for mothers and babies.

Elke is a member of the Australian Psychological Society, NSW Institute of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and the Australian Association for Infant Mental Health.
